The AS 1400 is the fully automatic stacking unit for carton blanks. The unit is positioned at the end of the delivery conveyor of a Window Patching machine. The unit is mounted on wheels and can easily be moved into position.

The conveyor belt of the AS 1400 takes over the blanks from the delivery conveyor of the Window Patching machine. They are counted by a pre-selection match counter. As soon as the pre-set number of blanks has passed the counter photocell, a clamping bar interrupts the carton flow. The counted blanks are accelerated toward the stacking guides. During this operation the conveyer belt lowers automatically and the blanks are stacked up to the pre-arranged height. Following this operation, the stacking guides are automatically lifted off, and the conveyor delivers the stacks of blanks either to the left or right of machine axis. As soon as the stacking guides have been lowered down again and the delivery belt has been lifted into its normal operating position, the next operation cycle begins. The AS 1400 can be supplied as either single stream or double stream operation. |
