technical info
Static2.GIF (4368 Byte) Heavy electrostatic charge of film occurs during unwind of film material.
The standard anti static bar discharges the film. Passing the drawing rollers, the knife cylinder and transferring to the vacuum cylinder creates new electrostatic charge of film material.
Static3.GIF (4193 Byte) Electrostatic charge of film could create problems like:
- film rewinds on centre drawing roller
- film jam in front of bottom knife
- film stays on knife cylinder
- film patch lays misregistered on
vacuum cylinder
Static4.GIF (4639 Byte) The special H+S bottom knife support allows to create an ionised air cushion underneath the film direct in front of the bottom knife. Additional ionised air is blown into the nip between knife cylinder and vacuum cylinder. These additional discharge elements eliminate the static load at the place where it normally would be created
