The running reel is in the upper position. The reel to be prepared is in the lower position. A piece of tape is adhered to the free end of the web in the lower position. The non-gluing side of the tape is fixed to the counter bar. |

When the automatic change cycle is started the knife gets heated. When the pre set temperature has been reached the stopper bar, the pressing bar and the knife come automatically to their working position. During the stop of the film the buffer roll climbs. |

When the time controlled cut process is finshed, the knife, the pressing bar and the stopper bar return to their rest position. The buffer roll sinks. The running reel is now in the lower position. The running reel then is turned into the upper position. The used reel can be replaced by a new reel. |
